I do believe a tenth muse may have been born. She certainly has a presence in writing. Her name's Mary Sue, and I'm not positive what she's the muse of, but she has plenty of followers. Something must be done.

11:29 am - A conversation I had a little earlier with one of my daughters
Me: Dear, I have a small favour to ask of you
Siren: Yes mother?
Me: You know where Dionysus keeps his wine supplies, don't you?
Siren: Mother, it's common knowledge
Me: Well, how about we give him a little surprise. Find a cask he's likely to drink out of soon, and turn it sour. He needs to learn to take better care of his possessions
Siren: *giggle* Yes, mother

Ever so bored. I thought this drought would be a litle more...dramatic, somehow. Instead, the heat and thirst is making everyone far too apathetic to do anything, much less anything tragic enough to write about. Poseidon dear, I think a flood's in order.

3:32 pm - Bunny Crusade argument #2
There's a Cornish legend which says that girls who die of grief after being rejected by a lover turn into white hares and haunt their former beaus. Now, you can't possibly tell me that doesn't befit a muse of tragedy.

((OOC: Of course, finding that little snippet has also implanted some rather disturbing ideas about Marius turning into a writer once Eponine's ghost, in plot-bunny form, starts haunting him...))

Further proof that my having a rabbit as a symbol is a perfectly reasonable idea

Now will you all believe me? Look at the turmoil they can cause!

I returned from a nice little inspiration-spree down in the mortal realms, and when I returned, who did I find but by dear sister Polyhymnia! Greetings, my dear. It's so lovely to have you around. And I hear father shall be joining us soon as well.

Really, I swear my dear sister Thalia is a bad influence. Remind me never to listen to anything a muse of comedy says if I want to do my job properly. She convinced me to see one of her works last night, and I've been sickeningly cheerful ever since. I really need a dying soldier to play around with...

1:44 pm - Brothers can be such a bore
Look at this. Only a battle-crazed air-head would even dream of getting on the wrong side of so many goddesses at once.

And the best bit of it all? He claims he has wisdom. Ha!

I open my eyes to survey my surroundings.

I see a girl sigh over her unseeing lover. I decide she shall write a verse in sorrow. This shall be the work of her tears and blood.

(OOC: It's really just an excuse to test everything)
